S4C recently announced how pleased it was to be contributing to the coffers of the Welsh Premier League by broadcasting its games on Saturday afternoons. However, it soon became apparent that the clubs do not receive a share of the payment. Neville Powell, the manager of Bangor City, informed me that 'supporters' were sitting in pubs in the city watching Bangor matches on the television rather than paying to go into the football ground (as was the case in the days of Farrar Road, at least)! Is it not the case that the Association should share some of the payment with the clubs, as is the case in England?
